BIOGRAPHY
Rina Sakurai also known as DJ RINA (born in 1988) is a female Japanese DJ from Sendai,
Japan. She started her career at 17, and currently has multiple residencies through out Japan
as well as over-seas gigs on occasion. Her vast skilled techniques, knowledge of music, and
experience is recognized and requested by all ages.

RINA plays a wide variety of Hip Hop/ R&B/
House/ Disco with originality and the ability to read the crowd.

She has also released more than 10
official mix CDs in a year, and is known in the Japanese music industry as "the female DJ who released
the most official mix CDs".

Her most recent mix CD released from Manhattan Records "Urbane Taste
Mixed by DJRINA" was considered an exquisite yet sophisticated urban R&B vibe mix.

She has also
performed at the major festivals in Japan such as Electric Zoo and Electrox, and hadseveral tours in Asia, as
well as spreading her wings into Europe and other countries. 2015 was her first year to appear in Red Bull 3Style
 competition, and in the following year made it to the final round in the Japan championship.

2017 was the year she
brushed up herskills and groove, and was crowned the No.1 DJ title in the Red Bull 3Style Japan Championship. After establishing her self as the first Japanese female DJ champion, 2018 was the year she went on to the world finals for the
 3Style World Finals in Poland. RINA made it to the grand final round along with the top 6 members out of 24 attending
countries.

RINA was praised by artists/judges such as DJ NU-MARK (Jurassic 5) and NINA LAS VEGAS for bringing in a new
life by competing with not only traditional technique, but for her music selection and groove centric performance.

RINA is without a doubt one of the most popular and focused female DJs today in the Japanese and fashion music industry, spreading her wings over-seas for global exposure in the coming years.
